What is the 'Orphaned Contacts Group'?

The Orphaned Users group was added as a way for the administrator to view the contacts that are not assigned to a group. This may happen when a group is deleted, or a Contact is added but not assigned to a group, or the Contact's memberships are edited (removed).

The Orphan group can be used to identify Contacts that need to be modified.
