Shipping Configuration on Product

ShoutCMS will automatically calculate shipping cost when a product is purchased.  There are 2 ways to configure shipping - Real Time Calculations and Manual Fixed .

Shipping Options:

1. Real Time Shipping Calculation - For real time calculations you must create an account with a Shipping Carrier.  See approved carries below.

 2. Manual Fixed Calculations - Does NOT require an account with a  Shipping Carrier.  Allows you to set fixed pricing per order. 

Approved Shipping Carriers:

 Purolator - Setting up your Purolator Account

 FedEx - Setting up your FedEx Account

 UPS - Setting up your UPS Account

Action Steps to Configure Real Time Shipping Calculations:

Important:  You must first create an account with a Shipping Carrier

1. Start by modifying a Product
2. Click the Product Option tab
3. Expand Shipping tab
4. Leave the radio button set to "Use Global Settings"
   
5. Enter the weight and dimensions of the product 
   

Important:  Shipping will NOT be activated unless weights are added regardless if you've set Real Time Calculations or Manually Fixed

Action Steps to set Manual Fixed Costs:

1. Start by modifying a Product
   
2. Click the Product Option tab
3. Expand the Shipping tab
1. Use Global Settings: Used only if you are using Real Time Calculation
2. Free Shipping: The system will ask the shopper for their shipping address but not add any shipping costs.
3. Flat Shipping Charge Of $ : Used to create a flat shipping charge regardless of weight or destination.
4. Mark up the shipping Cost by $ : Adds whatever cost you enter on top of the calculated shipping charge.  The shopper sees the original cost and markup as one number.
