How do I send a welcome message to a new contact?
Configure a welcome message to be sent to a new contact. The message will be sent when:
- A new contact is added using the admin console (optional).
- A user submits a signup form on the website.
- A user purchases a product that is configured to require signup.
Action Steps to Configure the Welcome Message:
- Click on the Settings icon.
- Click on the Communication tab.
- Click on the Contact Preferences link.
- Change the Sent From email address.
- Using the WYSIWYG editor, customize and save the Welcome Message to suit your needs.
Please Note: The text that is enclosed by " [ ] " will be personalized with information from the contact profile. A list of tags that can be used is available here.
- Expand the New Contact Notification. This message is sent (typically to the administrator) when a new contact signs up. Enter the email address of the person who is to receive the notification of
new contact sign ups. Leave it blank if you do not wish to receive any
notifications.
- Click Save.
