How do I manage Shipping Methods?
ShoutCMS features many different options for shipping products to customers.
- The global settings for shipping methods are configured in the Settings area of ShoutCMS. Administrators can over-ride the global settings for shipping method on a per product basis.
- Multiple shipping options can be configured and set to active. The customer chooses which shipping method to be used at checkout.
- Shipping products by a specific commercial carrier requires a merchant account with the carrier company.
- Shipping a product by a commercial carrier typically requires the dimensions and weight of the package to be specified in order to calculate the shipping cost. These settings are configured within the Product Setup.
- The option to charge tax on the shipping charges is configured in the Modify Taxes settings area.
