IMPORTANT: You must apply for a Beanstream Merchant Account before going through these steps.


Action steps to setting up an Beanstream as a payment processor:

  1. You must have an SSL Certificate.

    Note:    You don't need an SSL if you are using the ShoutCMS shared domain ie: https://yourdomain.shoutcms.net.

  2. Your contact information must be visible somewhere on your site.
  3. Your Refund policy must be filled out.
  4. Apply with Beanstream
  5. Enter the account information Beanstream sends you in the ShoutCMS Settings area:
    • Log into your ShoutCMS control panel.
    • Click on Settings from the Dashboard.
    • Click on the Store tab.
    • Click Payment Processors.
    • Enter your Account Information.
    • Click Save
You are now ready accept credit cards. We recommend performing a test transaction using a real credit card before making products available to the public.

IMPORTANT: Your site must have the following items done before Beanstream approves your account.

 

When buying goods or services online, it is important for customers to have access to information regarding their purchases. That’s why Beanstream and our banking partners require merchants to display some important information on their site before we can process credit card payments for them. This information is important to have because it reduces the chance of customer disputes, ultimately reducing business risk for both the merchant and for Beanstream. As part of the Beanstream application process, we will check your website to ensure it includes the following components:

1. The transaction currency that is to be applied

  • What currency will you be charging your customers in?

2. The country where your business is located and registered

  • Where is your business located? What country is it registered in?

3. A description of your merchandise and/or services including pricing

  • What are you selling? Can we easily identify what types of products are services are on offer?

4. Full customer service contact information, including mailing address, email address and telephone number

  • How and where can your customers contact you for support?

5. A clear return and refund policy

  • What happens if your customers are not satisfied with their purchase? Can they obtain a refund from you, and how? Can they exchange their purchase, and how?

6. Export Restrictions if applicable

  • Do you sell any goods that cannot be exported? What are they and why?

7. Delivery Policy

  • How will you send your goods to your customers? Do you guarantee date of delivery? Do you require your customer to pay shipping/handling fees?
